Ground Cover

Enhancing Floor Sanitation and Canopy Light Distribution

Maintaining clean floor space is essential for integrated pest management (IPM) and pathogen control in commercial agriculture. Unprotected floor space creates breeding grounds for weeds, soil-borne fungi, and moisture buildup. GT Greenhouse provides high-tensile Ground cover fabric tailored to isolate soil layers while creating a durable, walkable surface across aisles and growing bays.

By utilizing high-reflectivity woven polypropylene materials, our UV barrier weed control mat reflects ambient sunlight or LED light back upward into lower canopy foliage, maximizing light interception and boosting overall yield efficiency.

Technical Specifications & Product Features

Specification	Standard Rating	Commercial Advantage
Material Composition	100% Virgin Woven Polypropylene (PP)	Superior tensile strength; withstands heavy foot traffic and cart wheels.
UV Stabilization	3%–5% UV Inhibitor Additive	Delivers 5+ years of continuous resistance against solar radiation breakdown.
Permeability Rate	High water flow-through design	Allows irrigation runoff to drain quickly, preventing puddle formation.
Grid Lines	Woven green/colored marker lines	Simplifies row alignment, tray spacing, and pot positioning.

Engineered for Long-Term Greenhouse Durability

Backing over a decade of greenhouse manufacturing, GT Greenhouse supplies commercial-grade Greenhouse ground cover materials that meet strict agricultural durability standards:

• High Tear & Puncture Resistance: Heavy-duty fabric weight (100g/m² to 150g/m²+) easily supports rolling nursery carts, heavy pots, and staff foot traffic without tearing or fraying.

• Effective Weed & Root Suppression: High-density weave blocks sunlight penetration to eliminate weed growth without chemical herbicides.

• Integrated Bio-Sanitation: Non-porous woven synthetic fibers resist rot, mold, and chemical degradation from fertigation runoff.

Why Choose GT Greenhouse Ground Covers?

Selecting premium Greenhouse ground cover fabric wholesale options offers key operational benefits:

• Chemical-Free IPM: Suppresses weed growth naturally, reducing labor overhead and reliance on chemical weedkillers.

• Optimized Microclimate Hygiene: Fast water permeability keeps floors dry, dampening humidity spikes and disease pressure.

• Enhanced Light Reflectivity: White fabric options bounce unused light directly back into plant canopies.

Ground Cover FAQ

Q1: What is the benefit of choosing white ground cover over standard black ground cover?

A: Black ground cover provides maximum weed suppression and soil warming, making it ideal for nurseries and outdoor bays. White ground cover provides equivalent weed suppression while reflecting up to 80% of light back into lower plant leaves, which is highly beneficial inside indoor and greenhouse canopy setups.

Q2: Does water pool on top of the fabric during heavy irrigation?

A: No. The fabric features a precision-woven structure with balanced water permeability, allowing fertigation runoff and spilled water to drain into the sub-grade quickly.

Q3: Can GT Greenhouse supply custom roll widths and lengths for large commercial projects?

A: Yes. We offer wholesale rolls in standard widths (such as 1m, 2m, 3m, 4m, and 5m+) and custom lengths tailored to match your facility’s exact bay footprint.
